I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
